A 67-YEAR OLD man was beaten and robbed in his grocery on Georgiou Fasoulioti Street in Limassol on Tuesday afternoon by two strangers.
According to police, at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, two people entered the grocery pretending to be customers and called the owner to be served.
When the 67-year old approached them, one of the strangers pulled out a knife, placed it next to his throat, and pushed him to the ground. The assailants then beat the victim, with the second man taking €1,000 from the owner’s shirt pocket.
Police described the first offender as being of normal build, around 1.75m tall, with a dark complexion and short, black hair. He was wearing a red jersey and dark pants. The second offender is described as being of normal build, around 1.60m in height, with short black hair. Their ages were not identified, said the press representative.
The victim was sent to hospital where he received first aid and was released
