Enfield Council has announced that cashless parking is to be extended to all street parking zones in the borough from November to complement the existing pay and display arrangements.

Following a successful trial in car parks across Enfield, the system, which allows motorists to pay by SMS, mobile web or app and phone calls will be available at on street parking bays across Enfield.
The scheme aims to make it easier for driver to pay and more cost effective for the council.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond, said: “Enfield Council is moving with the times and offering a whole range of quick and easy ways for motorists to pay for parking on their mobile phone rather than them having to display a ticket on their dashboard.
“We’re determined to make parking in Enfield as quick and painless as possible and this system will go a long way towards helping us to achieve that while saving the council around £70k a year.”
