Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides had a telephone conversation on Wednesday with the US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, on the latter’s initiative.
According to an official press release issued here, during the conversation, Ministers Kasoulides and Burns reconfirmed the stabilizing role of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider Middle East.
The two Ministers discussed recent developments in Syria. Deputy Secretary of State Burns wished to be informed on the outcome of the recent visit by Minister Kasoulides to Cairo.
