Spanish midfielder Nano and Swedish forward Marcus Berg scored on debut for Panathinaikos in a 2-0 victory over newcomer Panetolikos in the Greek league on Sunday.
Nano scored in the third minute from the penalty spot, while Berg found the net in the 66th with a close-range shot off a cross by Panayotis Lagos only six minutes after substituting for Nikos Karelis.
Panetolikos played a man short from the 51st minute onward after Philippos Darlas was dismissed for fouling Lagos outside his team’s area.
Also Sunday, newcomer Apollon beat Aris 2-1, Giannena drew 3-3 at Asteras, Panthrakikos drew 2-2 at Platanias and the OFI-Panionios match ended in a scoreless draw.
