Paphos police is investigating two separate incidents of tourist muggings which took place on Thursday night and the early hours of Friday.
According to reports, a Belgian couple who had gone out for a walk at around 11.30pm in Chloraka were attacked by an unknown assailant who managed to take the woman’s handbag.
The bag contained her mobile phone and €60, police said.
A British tourist also reported to police that shortly after midnight, as he was walking on Poseidonas Avenue, he had his bag which contained a camera and £100 sterling. stolen.
