Professional boxing brothers Chris “The Flash” Evangelou and Andreas “The Ace” Evangelou will both be back in action at the end of June and the first week of July.
Chris will be taking part in the renowned Prizefighter Series, Light Welterweight III on Saturday 6 July at York Hall in East London. This will be shown live on Sky Sports. This will give him the opportunity to face Danny Connor for a third time and avenge his recent defeat to him in a tournament that has already got the boxing pundits excited. Danny Connor and Chris Evangelou lead the line-up in the 31st edition of the Betfair Prizefighter. Evangelou will be hoping the draw pits them together so he can gain revenge. Southampton’s Matty Tew, and unbeaten pair Eren Arif and Charlie Rice are also taking part in the tournament battling for the title.
Andreas will be boxing on a Carl Greaves Promotion at Civic Hall, Grays in Essex on Saturday 29 June in a six round bout against an opponent to be confirmed. This is now his last bout before he himself challenges for his first domestic title. Following his recent impressive showing the future is looking very bright for both these committed sportsmen.
